How will my items ship?
All orders are shipped via Federal Express. Please visit www.fedex.com or call them toll free at 1-800-GO-FEDEX (1-800-463-3339) to check on status of your order.
Is a signature required to receive shipments?
All orders are shipped signature release – no signature is required. This means, if no one is there to receive the order from our carrier, the driver will leave the order at your door. This signifies acceptance of the order the same as a signature. We recommend that someone be there within the designated time frame to accept the order and properly refrigerate it. We will e-mail you the carrier tracking number when your order is shipped, which will allow you to monitor the delivery of your order.
How are the items packed for shipment?
Seafood products are very perishable. All our shipments are packed in coolers with enough frozen gel packs to ensure the proper temperature during transit in average weather. It is recommended that someone be available to receive the shipment within a timely manner, especially in warm climates. Upon receipt we recommend unpacking and transferring the seafood to the refrigerator.
How much is shipping?
Newport International is working with FedEx and are able to provide free shipping to nearly all zip codes in the 48 continental states during their off-peak delivery period. During FedEx’s peak shipping period (Nov. 2, 2020 – Jan. 17, 2021) we offer free shipping to over half the zip codes. Shipping rates for all orders that do not qualify for free shipping will incur a $29.99 charge for the first case and $9.99 for each additional case. Our goal is to provide the highest quality crab meat to your door at the lowest cost possible.
Where do you ship?
At this time we ship to all 48 contiguous states and Washington DC. We are unable to ship to Hawaii, Alaska, US Territories, or APO/FPO Addresses. We can deliver to any physical address, both residential and commercial, but due to the nature of our products, are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes. Please be sure to check the shipping address carefully for errors and always provide a physical address as opposed to a post office box (P.O. Box). Newport cannot guarantee shipments that FedEx is unable to deliver.
How long will my order take to ship?
Shipping times may vary based on delivery location. Due to the perishable nature of crabmeat, all orders will be shipped weekly, Monday to Wednesday; with a cutoff for new orders at 10 AM Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday. Any orders placed after Wednesday at 10 AM EST will ship the following Monday for Tuesday or Wednesday delivery. Once shipped, you will receive a notification from us with tracking information, and can expect to receive the delivery within 1-2 business days.
What can I do with my shipping box?
You can donate your cooler and shipping box to a local food pantry or Meals on Wheels. Talk to a recycling center, they might accept Styrofoam. Reuse!
